“Solid-State Electrochemistry for Molecular Magnetism and Organic Electronics”
Kunio Awaga, Nagoya University, Japan
Abstract: Solid-state electrochemistry is a powerful tool to control the valence and charge of molecule-based materials. Recently, it was found that an electrochemical cell, in which the anode is Li metal and the cathode contains a polyoxometalate, operates stably as a rechargeable battery with an extremely large capacity. In this presentation we discuss the mechanism of the molecular cluster batteries and the application of solid-state electrochemistry to molecular magnetism and organic electronics.
