Profs.Woollins & Slawin visited Nagoya University, Japan

Profs. John Derek Woollins and Alexandra Slawin (University of St Andrews, UK) visited the Prof. Kunio Awaga’s laboratory at Nagoya University.

On Aug. 31, Prof. Derek Woollins gave a lecture with the title, “Synthesis and Structure of Group 16 systems” in the department of Chemistry. On Sept.1, they visited the Vice President of Nagoya University, Prof. Yoshihito Watanabe, to discuss the future collaboration between two universities. On Sept.2, they also attended Pre-ICMM2016 in Nagoya with the topic of “New Research Crossroads in Molecular Conductors and Magnets”.

Their visit has provided a great opportunity for exchanging ideas on future studies and collaboration, which will not only benefit the graduate students and young researchers of CtC members, but also both universities.
