Lab Visit from Novosibirsk to Awaga Group

Ms. Elena Chulanova, a graduate student from Novosibirsk State University, visited Awaga Group, Nagoya University. She had a lab tour and gave a presentation on her work at our regular seminar. Her visit provided a great opportunity to exchange ideas for future studies to graduate students/young researchers of CtC members.
“Recent progress in the chemistry of chalcogen-nitrogen π-heterocyclic radical-ion salts”

Abstract: Chalcogen-nitrogen derivatives draw attention not only to chemists, but also to specialists in material science. However, until recently stable chalcogen-nitrogen radical-anions were observed only by EPR-spectroscopy in solution and were not isolated in form of thermally stable salt. So, in our work we've isolated salts of 1,2,5- and 1,2,3 - chalcogendiazolyl systems for the first time.
