Collaboration between Prof. S. Heutz’s lab. in Imperial college London and Prof. T. Inabe’s lab. in Hokkaido Univ has been started, that is concerned “Magnetic Properties at heterojunction interfaces formed with molecular thin films”. We, Y. Takahashi, T. Shimada, and M. Takehisa, visited to the lab. in Imperial college, London for preliminary meeting of the collaboration. We gave a lecture about the main instrument for the experiments.
Before the collaboration, we attended to 8th International Conference on Molecular Electronics (ELECMOL2016) held in Faculte de Medicine, Paris, France, Aug 22 - 26th for information-gathering. The attendee contains famous researchers in molecular electronics from various countries, such like France, U. S. A., Spain and so on.
At the conference, we heard the presentations by Prof. H. Shirringhouse, Prof. R. Metzger, or Prof. D. Gandlach. Furthermore, we discussed about our investigation with them. As the results, we could obtain useful advice and knowledge for molecular electronics.
インペリアルカレッジ（Heutz研究室）と北海道大学（稲辺研究室）間での『異種の有機薄膜接触界面に生じる磁性』に関する共同実験実施に向けた実験の打ち合わせの為，北海道大学大学院理学研究院助教高橋，同M2島田・竹久の3人でインペリアルカレッジのHeutz研究室を訪問した。
それに先立ち同8月下旬にフランス・パリにて開催された「8th International Conference on Molecular Electronics (ELECMOL2016)」に参加した。ELECMOLは２年に一度開催される国際会議で，フランスをはじめアメリカ，スペイン，オランダ，ドイツなどから有機半導体の合成やデバイス化などの著名な専門家が集まる国際会議である。会議では，H. ShirringhouseやR. Metzger, D. Gandlachなど著名な研究者の講演を聞くことで，上記共同実験にも深く関係する有機エレクトロニクス分野の最先端の情報収集を行うことができた。またこれまでの研究の成果を発表し，各国の著名な研究者と議論を行うことで非常に有用なアドバイスを得ることができた。
