Prof.Preuss visited Awaga Lab
Nagoya University, Japan
Prof. Kathryn Preuss (University of Guelph) visited the laboratory of Kunio Awaga at Nagoya University at Jan. 28, 2016. She visited the lab with the companion of Awaga group members, and attended the scientific lecture of Prof. Pal, another collaborator of Awaga group. After the lecture, all the foreign guests were invited for a sightseeing tour at Koushoji park, a famous buddhist temple in Aichi Prefecture.
On Jan. 29 and Jan. 30, Prof. Preuss also attended the 5th international conference of MEXT project with the topic of “Chemical Science for Future Societies”. On Jan. 29th, she attended the lecture session, and deeply discussed with young researchers at the poster session. In the morning of Jan. 30th, she gave a lecture with the title “supramolecular architectures with metal-radical complexes”. With the recent discoveries on metal-radical complexes, she discussed about the nature of intermolecular interactions of these complexes, and provided the future perspectives of the organic radical-based molecular magnets.
